Anna Karolina Schmiedlova is having a successful clay part of the season in Europe this summer. Slovakian player came to Romania after winning a title in Belgrade. In the final of that competition she beat Arantxa Rus (6:3, 6:3).
Not many experts were expecting the second week of successful performances from Anna Karolina after the Serbian tournament. But Schmiedlova managed to extend her winning streak to seven matches. In Cluj-Napoca Slovakian player beat Kuzmova (6:4, 6:2) and Juvan (7:6, 6:0).
Aleksandra Krunic is also having a successful run on clay tournaments this summer. Everything started at Roland Garros, where she won three qualifying matches and then was beaten in the contested first round match by Cori Gauff (6:7, 4:6). After that Aleksandra reached the final of ITF tournament in Czech Republic.
In Cluj-Napoca Serbian player won two qualifying matches and then beat Naito and Bogdan (6:3, 6:3). Krunic is in a wonderful form now, she beat all of her opponents in straight sets. We can't underestimate Krunic, she is a former World No. 39.
